Monitor Mounting ideas...

I have a Lilliput 7" TS and after reading a few posts... I think I have a new Idea. I am thinking of taking the screen, mounting it in a plexi frame, putting drawer slides on the sides and mounting inside the top of my dash board. I could put some sort of control that would pop it up or take it down with a relay circuit and pully system or something...
Could then take the peice of dashboard I cut out, and make it a sprint loaded door so when it is closed, it will just look like the dashboard with maybe a line around the opening. Am I dreaming? But to me this sounds achievable.
I think this would be easier for me as fiberglass, bondo and myself dont seem to get along very well. Plus, I want it in a location where it wont 'appear' so it wont be stolen as easily.
How about some input?

Sorry, no input.
This is exactly what I want to do, but easier said than done.
I tell you this, if can come up with it, lots of people would be interested.

I did it in my car with the storage compartment from a 350Z. Here is the part with a Xenarc installed:

And here is the same part with a Lilliput installed in my dash panel:

Your best bet is to find an OEM part you like and mold it into your car, rather than to trying to engineer and fabricate something that complex from scratch.
