Motorized In-Dash LCD... why?

Why is everyone dying to get a motorized LCD?

I have a DigitalWW manual in-dash LCD and I am perfectly happy with it.
http://www.digitalww.com/DWW-7VGA.htm

If it was motorized I would still have tilt control, but I doubt I would have control of the side to side angle.

I personaly would rather have more control of the angle and tilt of the screen then have it automatically pop out to a position that I don't like.

Thoughts?

It's a matter of pimping I guess. I want a motorized VGA screen in my dash. It just seems so much work to push and tilt the manual one...

I kind of agree, I like the idea of being able to tilt left and right.
now, motorized out and than left and right and up and down would be the ultimate.

any idea where I can buy an in dash housing?
motorized or not doesn't matter and digitalww seems to be out of stock for some time now.

I dont mind manual control, but unless you mount your car-pc in the dash also, you give up a lot of the convienence offered by a head unit.

There was a 50 page thread on that one a while ago... but the mods deleted it.
I guess the important thing is that they didn't come thruogh yet.

First of all, its of course the "pimpness" and "coolness" and stuff like that.
Second of all, motorized monitors do indeed have left/right tilt control (+/- 15 degrees) as well as up/down, which in anything other than a B747 should be sufficient enough. Of course, that still comes second to the coolness factor
