Wow I just got this super uber VFD from a local electronics store and will be playing with it soon!!! I know that I could probably get it to work with LCDC but I will keep updating here. I will not use this for the carputer just to play with. I am amazed that it is 6x40, and made in La Mirada, California!!!

Nah it will not even go into the car!!! It isn't that huge either and it is character not graphical. I just like the appearance of VFDs more than LCDs. To me the LCDs are BLURRY!!! It is weird that I got it at the local electronics store even though I ebayed it!!!

The guy stated that there would be more in the future. it was SUPER CHEAP!!

OMG I just read the data sheet and enabled 'self test'. I feel SUPER LUCKY!!
