this little widget lets you use a 2x40 or 4x20 character LCD display on USB
anyone used one?
For systems with no parallel or serial ports and have power drawn from usb ports this looks like an attractive option.
Im hoping to embed one of these, with a 2x40 LCD and a usb hub into a regular keyboard. The idea is some buttons will be listed directly below the screen and LCD labels what the keys do.
Hopefully the cabling should be neat as the hub is buried away inside and just one usb cable will need to trail outside of the keyboard body.
(This project isnt a car PC but something quite similar
