Disassembled Lilliput won't power on

I partially disassembled my Lilliput 7" screen to begin removing it from the stock housing so I can install it in my car. All I did was disconnect the two ribbon cables, the flat black 4-pin connector, and the white two-pin connector, so that I could separate the screen from the controller board. Now that I have put everything back together, the screen doesn't power on at all. I was very careful not to disturb any of the components, and also made sure that I was reconnecting everything properly. I read in the FAQ that one should make sure the ribbon cables are firmly seated if the unit won't power on. I tried re-seating them repeatedly and still get nothing. Anyone have any suggestions for me?

u probaly staticuted it, basically u blew it and gave it a static shock. I dont know why guys like you open up expensive screens, just leave them, and then u moan that they dont work . but following all instruction on this site if it still doesnt work.......... U blew it!

but to give you advice

"Don't go crazy when you power the lilliput and nothing happens, just reseat the ribbon cables, in specific the wide one is a REAL pita to get reseated properlly... I personally had to reseat it at least 3 times to get it to come back up. It works great now though"

from one of the threads.

I was in the same boat. Wouldn't power up. Make sure the ribbon cable that connects to the IR/Power button board is seated correctly. Not only does it need to be in all the way, if it's too far left/right/center it won't power up. I would focus my attention on both ends of that cable. Each time you reseat the cable, supply power to the screen. The red light should come on.

Yep, the power button ribbon cable was the culprit. I found another thread where someone said you have to seat the cable all the way to one side. I had been trying to center it. All the way to the right fixed it!

from another thread I read that Armen at DigitalWW apparently sells a replacement cable that is the right size that might help prevent this from happening again....just thought I would share that....let me get the link to that post real quick for you....

Trust me bro... it is the smaller ribbon cable. If you have you lilliput sitting face down on a table with the back exposed make sure the the smaller ribbon cable is securly in its connector and butted up against the right side.
