lilliput whitescreen [help!]

i got the 7'' lilliput and the in-dash-housing from DWW and started doing the mod according to their manual.
after reassembling the whole thing i only get the white screen - no signal.
so after looking here i ordered about 4 (just to be sure) replacement ribbon cables and tried them out. no luck.
all i get is the white screen, once i even got the vertical RGB-lines.
can anybody help me resolve this problem please? because im about to give up on the lilliput and get a new one

I don't have the indash but I have a reg lilliput. Sounds to me like your problem lies in the ribbon cables OR your 9 pin din connection, it's very sensitive. If it it not plugged in properly it will act up. Let me know of this helps

I am sorry I cannot help you with fixing that since I don't know much about electronics. I do want to ask you if I could buy your lilliput housing with buttons and screws if you still have them and they are in good shape.

Possible causes:
1. Fried video card due to short circuit somewhere
2. Fried LCD controller
3. Loose connections

Can't think of anything else right now.. Did you try to plug another monitor to your system to see if it works? If it does then the problem would be with he lilliput itself. Actually I don't know anything about lilliputs because I never owned any, but I did get white screens several times on my machines when I shorted some small wires and fried the video controller.

And when you hit the menu button, do you see themenu then? Tis could also be a TS problem

Ive just had this problem my very self but on a gains touchscreen.

What had happend is that the glue holding the custom fitted/cut up screen had come unstuck so i took the housing and lcd out and re glued it.
Fired the screen up and white screen. You could imagine my heart dropping out of my pants...

Anyhow i figured the problem, what it was there was a little ribbon cable at the side of the board and it had come out ever so slightly.
I simply took it out then put it back in firm but gentle if you catch my drift and hey presto its fine.

I know my screen is a gains/xenarc but it may help lilliput users too.

yeah i have the same problem..so i sent it out to get fix and they said the lcd was done. so now i'm looking for a new screen..

I got the same crap a while ago. I unplugged the powersupply and plugged it back in and switched it back on. Working fine now. Happened after I switched video cards.

i too am having same prob ( did a search and this thread and 1 other came up )
when i built up my case ( nothing to special atm ) on my desk i was using my desktop screen , everything works - goto car , wire everything up - turn inverter on , now i also have ps2 in there aswell . ps2 is plugged into AV1 .
When i turn everything on i can view the ps2 running , then i switch to the PC and turn the case on , following that i can see windows loading , when it finish's loading and goes to desktop i get the "whiteScreen" , i have tryed looking at fewthings but nothing has evailed , so some help Please

in that last case sounds more like a resolution problem if you see the loading screen
