Question Help setting up Xenarc

I just got my Xenarc 700TS today. Right now I am just trying to test it on my laptop to check that it works before installing it in my car. I tried installing it the way the horrible instructions told me to, but it does not want to work. It just powers on then powers off (I am assuming it is due to a lack of signal). I tried it plugged into both the monitor port and USB. I got it to work for a while and turned it around to show to my girlfriend only to turn it back around to me and see the background gone! I called tech support but they just ask me to leave a message, so I probably won't get a call back for a while. One thing I noticed is that the touch screen drivers seem to be loading for the laptop screen not the xenarc (as the little mouse icon that is used to switch between left and right clicking is on the laptop screen, also in trying to config the touchscreen the x's appear on the laptop screen). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try connectiong it to a desktop computer and see how that works. Anyway, try first installing the touch screen drivers without the Xenarc connected, restart and connect the Xenarc. This should get the TS to work properly.

It doesn't light up at all? Did you try it in the car, with the cig adapter?

It powers on (it says PC in the corner) then says "Power Off" and turns off

You didn't answer my question, did you try it with the cig adapter in the car? I'm thinking the best scenario here, a defective house adapter... How long does it stay on? When it's on, is the image correct?

Sounds like a bad resolution/refresh rate.

You know how a computer monitor will turn on look for a signal and then go into stand-by (usually a yellow light) that is what it seems to be doing. But no I have not tried it in a car, but it does not seem like a power issue since it will stay on as long as I am bringing up the menu. And I tried it in two different plugs on two different circuit breakers.

I had the same issue when I first got my Xenarc.
Go to : Control Panel>Display>Settings>Advanced>Moniter, set the screen refresh rate to 60 herts.
