Ultra Thin VGA cable
Not sure if anyone has posted on this before...
But I am having trouble with the install of my carputer behind my screen (VERY tight space and the VGA plug is too damned big) the screen wont clip back in all the way into the dash cuz the plug is in the way.
After searching I have found the answer...
http://www.bestbuycable.com/search_v...asp?txtFrom=SP
This makes my frigging day! I was all set to go hacking up my Xenarc screen cable.

Doesn't ultrathin also mean ultra-unshielded. Thus you get ultra-interference?

They make it sound good but the only way to know for sure is to try it. Ultimately if you're making a short run and using lower resolutions and refresh rates typical of 7" LCD, you're unlikely to encounter much ghosting.

They look just like the cables I have purchased from L-COM.com in the past. I use them for work by cutting off one end and wiring it unto another connector. They are shielded on the inside with foil and have three small coax cables for the Red, Green, and Blue signals. Never had a problem with noise interference………… However the price is WAY different!
$40 for one cable assembly

if you actually read the info on the cable - its triple shielded
"UltraThin VGA/SVGA HD15 Male to Female Triple Shielded Flexible Extension Cable "
in any case - I have one on the way so I'll see how it works out.. for 6 bucks its worth a try

Thanks for the deal, looks promising, though I don't see a single review for them on resellerratings ( I guess they start off with a 10). Went ahead and ordered a 15 foot'er, since the price is hot and I may need one of these for my project.

Oh My! It is "Triple Shielded"!! That must mean this cable is super good.

Well aren't you just a sarcastic ***. You said it probably wasn't shielded... I pointed out that you didn't bother to read it. Try spending your time in threads where you can contribute.

Yeah I got my 3ft cable installed last night and it works great. Not only is the plug smaller, but the cable is thinner also.
