Lilliput Touchscreen Driver Problem.

So I've been working at this problem for a few days, but no success.

Right now I have the 7" Lilliput Touchscreen monitor and a VIA EPIA M10000 board running Windows XP Pro.

When I install the latest drivers, I get to the point where it searches the COM ports, and it's supposed to say that it found the touchscreen controller on one of the ports. For me, it searches COM1 and COM2, doesn't say it found anything, and just goes into the window where it says the drivers aren't digitally signed. So after the install, I reboot, plug in the USB cable, but I get this error:

"USB Device Not Recognized"

I've tried both the latest and beta drivers from many locations, and just tried installing SP2 for XP since I read that solved this problem for some people. But I still have the same exact problem. Anyone know what might be going on?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I also have the same problem. Here's a thread that gave me some ideas, I'm looking to go home and fix it later today
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...put+xp+install

My lilliput was working fine before, but I suspect the bootskin program that I had corrupted my winxp and I had to "boot to the last known good condition" after that the lilliput touch screen stopped working. The device manager only reports "USB Device Not Recongnized" but error indicator.

After reading the thread above, I suspect it's a com port error. It sounds like lilliput only likes com port 1, 2 or maybe 2, 3. I need to figure out what's occupying these com ports on my machine.

Did you install service pack 2 lately? This seems to be a huge problem with XP SP2. I just went from an SP1 installation to a clean SP2 installation, and almost none of my USB devices work. We're talking basic things like keyboard, mouse, thumbdrive... all result in a "USB device not recognized" message.

The question is, how has this defect gone unresolved for this long?
