How to deal with factory wood trim when mounting an LCD?

I searched and this has never been covered before. I'm not sure why because many luxury carmakers have wood trim in the center dash area...

That's what the dash trim looks like. I predict many problems in trying to mount this thing. I'm going to be buying a Lilliput and I'd love to keep the housing, I'm not sure what those little buttons at the bottom do but I'm sure they are good for something. Plus, I don't want to remove the IR reciever cause I'd love to have a little remote. Worst comes to worst... I'll have to remove the casing, but even then the height is 3 or 4 millimeter's off!

Double DIN opening (give or take): 177.8mm x 101.6mm
Lilliput 7" TS (with housing): 194mm x 122mm
Lilliput 7" TS (without housing): 165mm x 105mm
