Unhappy lilliput dodgy touchscreen?

Hi Guys....

I have had my Lilliput touchscreen for about two-three months. Has been working no problem.

Last weekend...I was trying to get phonecontrol to work on my VanPc. It was cold…so I had the heater on in the van….and suddenly…I started having problems trying to click on the right hand side of the screen…

I thought it may be heat related….

Yesterday….again it was cold….and I tested the screen…same problem…even when the van was cold…

Its not in the extreme corners…it is up about an inch from the bottom of the screen…doing a draw test proves this.

I know a lot has been written on these forums about the Lilliput…but the problems that guys have been writing to this forum seem to have dried up about 6 months ago….

I just wondered if someone with experience could tell me if this screen needs to go back?…

Is it is a faulty screen?……or could it be to do with me loading and reloading widcomm drivers?

Any help will be appreciated…

It's not the screen itself it is your touch overlay. I am actually waiting for my second replacement overlay right now. Contact Armen over @ www.digitalww.com

The touchscreen overlays on Lilliputs are pretty much crap. It is especially common for them to have difficulties on the right side of the screen. Mine has a similar problem to yours in that it is ok in the corners but as I go toward the middle of the screen on the right side, it becomes quite far off.

So...Should I cut to the chase and just buy a overlay?...or send it back?

I mean...if the Lilliput overlay is crap...why bother letting them replace it...

OR should I just ditch this...and buy something else?

hmmm

If you can get your replaced under warranty then that’s what you should do.

If you buy a panel from me it still might go bad but I will replace it under warranty.
