usb video for vga

Hello everyone!
I've searched, and searched, and googled, and googled but can not find the answers to my specific question, although I know they must have been discussed about 1000 times. I guess I'm just not typing in the correct words to narrow my search, but I also lack the technical side, so probably wouldn't know what was right for me even if I did see it...lol... My question is: Which usb or external video card do you suggest for me to hook up my VGA 12" touch screen monitor to? But I also have 6 other lcd monitors in the truck that I need to connect to the videocard, because I want my carpc to show on every screen. Therefore, I believe I need a videocard with Rca outputs, and preferrably one that is usb external?!? Can somebody PLEASE give me some insight on what to get and the best way to do what I need, because I'm trying to install my carpc this weekend. So I need to buy the videocard asap. Thanx in advance!!!!

i put a post on a month or so agao about a usb-vga adapter.

You would probably be better using powered splitters.

Yeah... go with a powered splitter, and get a VGA-to-Composite(or S-vid) adapter.

What I've found regarding VGA splitters:
If you're using two different monitors, use a powered splitter.
If you're using two itentical monitors (like my two Xenarcs), you can use a simple Y-cable splitter.

I'm sorry but I don't quite understand. I believe that I need another video card, because my onboard video does not seem adequate. what you guys are suggesting are adapters. what am I missing? Can you please explain in full detail? Sorry for the trouble, but thanx for the help!

I'm not sure If I explained it properly, but my other 6 monitors are tv screens, not serial connection, but rca

If you're trying to put the same image on all of your screens, your onboard video will be fine. If your mobo has an S-Video (or RCA) video output, (1) you can use an S-Vid splitter/amplifier, and then use S-Vid-to-RCA adapters, or (2) use an S-Vid-to-RCA at the mobo and then RCA splitters to the monitors. Option (1) would probably be better quality.

If you don't have an S-Vid output, you can use a powered VGA splitter off the main video, with one going to your touchscreen, and send the other VGA to a VGA-to-S-Vid (or RCA) converter, and from there pick option 1 or 2 above.

Or you could just go for that vid card with a composite output. Sorry, can't recommend any, though.

Actually, you could also get one of these:

It's also got a built in TV tuner. I've got one and it works pretty good, though I don't have it set up the same way you would.

You would plug it into your VGA port on the mobo, plug your touchscreen into the unit's VGA output, and plug the composite screens into the RCA outs.

Oh, and for $10 more you can get the one that has a built-in video recorder.
