does the PSone 5" LCD w/ VGA hack work on VIA m10000 ?

i recently grabbed up a bunch of the sony PSone 5" LCD's from a local toys r us for $16.99 each... I definitally wanna put on in my dash and make a carpc.

my question is, has anyone tried it on the m10000? The VGA hack requires a source that has C-Sync. I don't know how to look up that info on this board.

Thanks for any info!

it's like a secret deal that's going on. sony discontinued them, and the longer they sit on the shelves @ TrU, the lower the price gets. it's different at every store. check all of yours

Short: NO
Long: The mod doesn't work with all video card. Very few video card that is know to work with the mod screen. Those video card doesn't work because it doesn't allow custom setting via PowerStrip. To see if your video card can be custom resolution or not. Download the trail version of PowerStrip and try it out. If the Custom Resolution (or something similar) button is grey out. Uninstall the software because the card won't work with the moded screen.

but aren't there csync circuits available that has nothing to do with the video card? or does the card need a certain refresh rate still?

Yup, refresh rate.
PSOne work at I think (15Hz) or whatever the number is. 60Hz will not push it.
