Unhappy Scratch / dent in touchpanel

Hi guys, I've got a really bad scratch in the front of my screen. This prevents me from using the touch, as the scratch is making a constant touch. Is it possible to get such a scratch/dent away, or do i have to change the whole touchpanel. I was wondering if its only a protective piece of plastic sitting in front, or if it's the actual touch panel????

If i will have to change the panel, where can i get one. And what would the cost be of it.

Best regards

Max

You just might have to replace the touch panel. The only place I know of is xenarcdirect.com The price depends on the size of your screen.

EDIT, had to fix the spelling

Okay i'll probably try to contact them, and see what they suggest

But it sure would have been a lot simpler if it's only a protective sheet thats in front.

Armen can supply touchpanels too. (www.digitalww.com). Dunno if the mp3car shop can get hold of one for you.

ts layer is gone. needs to be replaced. in the future, keep in mind that these screens scratch really easily, and when they do, they are prone to being instantly inoperative. also, in the future, buy some sort of screen protector, least it'll give u some security on the ts.
