well i just opened mine up to see if i can do the mod. however my egg is totally different than the one in the mods. my egg actually has a few more components up top, including a couple resistors, different sized capacitors, and a metal "plate" or heatsink if you will for that little chip thingy labeled B1203.
im wondering if lilliput has improved their design and maybe the egg is actually usable now. i will never know now, cause the first thing i did was cut it off
but does anyone else have any insights into this? can this be modified to put out 5v?
