Unhappy scratched my brand new Xenarc 700TS

Hey... as I was installing (well actually I was carrying it up from the garage to the house for a break) I managed to put 2 rather nasty scratches in my brand new Xenarc 700TS :*(

Is there anything that can be done to fix them? who would I need to send it to?

obviously i'm real gutted about it!

what are the scratches in?
the touchscreen or the casing? you can get replacements for both of those, but you may void the waranty, unless you sent it back to supplier/manufacturer...

Lightbulb

Scratch is in the touchscreen.

How much work is involved in changing the touchscreen over?
Is there much soldering? How difficult is it to align everything? Is there much glueing / unglueing?

< live2themaxuk > Do you have the Xenarc 700TS as well? If you could give me a rundown / tutorial of what you did when you replaced yours, that'd be most appreciated! I'd rather avoid sending the unit back to the states to be repaired as I'm in New Zealand. If the job is too difficult for me I'll get a local repair agent to do it.

Cheers for your help everyone

Umm - if you haven't voided the warranty on your touchscreen yet, see if Xenarc will do it for you. They typically sell a touchscreen or you could buy one off digitalww.com like others said. If you have Xenarc do it, you will retain your warranty.
