Quick Question

I was reading the Sticky for the "Xenarc FAQ"... and I noticed in the first write-up, "live2themaxuk" custom built this USB cable himself:

What I wanna know is, at DigitalWW they sell something that looks about the same (usb tip with molex-type tip):

Are they the same thing? Is it the same concept?

I'm asking because I was wondering what I need to use or where would I connect the power if I wanna have the Xenarc turn ON eith the computer/opus... Rather than the car's ignition...

Thanks!
