there are copper tubes running through this aluminum coldplate....... the radiator for this system will be mounted outside of the cabin along with the pump....... end results should be a relatively cool, high bright screen that is also silent.... no fan noises inside

these little suckers are supposed to really light up....... 35 of them should be really something.... this is turning into a project & 1/2, but should be the only 12.1" narrow liquid cooled lvds lcd on these fourums...or anywhere else for that matter

more work on this... I'm using a 1/4" copper plate as a heat spreader... this is the begining of the whole assy... next on the list is getting a drill press to start machining & tapping....

almost ready to light her up.... a lot of machining & drilling.. the led's are mounted... I have 20 to start with but build this to be upgradable to a total of 36.... since I don't want to take this apart again I pre-drilled for the extra rows just incase.... first let's see what 20 of these can do....

from what I've been told... this is how some screens were done for military aircraft... but with luxeon 5's!!!!!! I don't expect to have that much sun hitting my screen

I can dance on both sides of that fine line I guess... the end results will determine which side of that line I'm standing on with this

it's gotta work..... just hard to know how well at this point... I think she'll be awsome...

I just ordered a nice little high tempature ready water pump for this system & I'm going to use a transmission cooler in the nose of my car as the radiator for this... I'll run waterwet'r through the system...
