A few Lilliput annoyances.

I just got mine. 7" w/ Touch Screen. Am I supposed to just use default monitor drivers with WinXP? The S3 drivers on my Epia MII also think I am using a CRT monitor. I have the USB Touchkit drivers installed already. Screen res is 800x600 @ 85hz.

I also noticed a few things that weren't obvious while shopping for one.

The touch screen has a film over the screen that makes it look grainy, fuzzy, whatever you wanna call it. It bothers me a lot.

In a common setup the remote can't be used for media (winamp, centrafuse, etc). Only for things like power on/off, on-screen menus, etc.

Yeah, what he said. But to be a little more helpful (I hope),

I find that if you keep the screen clean of fingerprints it looks fine as long as you're not showing anything too white. For the most part, movies and videos look pretty damn good, just dont use a white background or anything.

As for the remote, if you have the lilliput IR receiver in the open and you get an IR receiver for the computer, you can probably get a remote with a few programmable buttons. Just put the eye of the IR receiver near the eye of the lilliput receiver and it should act how you want it. Menu buttons trigger the lilli, and commands (play, stop, etc) go to the computer. Probably take some work, but it should be feasible.

Hope this helps,
Josh [a different Josh]

Mine looks a little grainy too. I've been trying to figure out if this is just the way it always looks. The graininess appears to be on the surface rather than being the actual image. I'm guessing it's the TS film. Looks like a ton of tiny different colored dots. Is this what yall are seeing?

I would have never assumed that it could do this. That's kind of asking alot and based on poor research I guess.

I got my Lilli off of eBay from Hong Kong, so all the OSD is in kanji characters. I have to sort of guess, based on the pictures, what each option is. Luckily I haven't needed it much. The auto adjust seems to work fine.

Any one else's do this?

Keep guessing and you'll find the option to switch it into English!!
