Just got one of these and got no instructions with it. I

'ed the forums and all I got were old threads with non existent pictures.

Anyone have any pix of the kit hooked up, and any idea how to wire up the touchscreen?

I didnt get what I thought I weas getting, and if I cant figure it out I guess I'll be selling right back to a different mp3car user.

Any and all help is reatly appriciated, thanks in advance.

do you have a link to the kit you bought? did it come with a controller for the lcd? That is the 8.4 sharp screen right? with the touch panel?

I have that screen and touch panel but not the rest of the setup, ( I ripped it apart for a learning experence, I am useing a differnt screen ) What are you haveing trouble with?

thats the link to the thread I bought it from.

I dunno how to power it up, or how to make a serial connection for the touchscreen. I got everything listed, just no directions :/

you have to have to power the controller, did it come with a power supply? they may not include it. You have to check the specs of your controller to see what the required power is usually a 12v supply and some amount of required amps. AC-DC for the house and DC-DC for your car

everything else you likely have If I remeber correctly that screen has a 31 pin hirose connection, just plug the cable for the screen to the vga controll board. there should be cables to connect the vga conroller to both the inverter board and the OSD board (if you have one) then plug the backlights connector (usually white and pink wires) into the inverter. DO NOT TOUCH THE INVERTER WHILE IT IS POWERED always use caution when working with it and do not let the boards touch each other

oh and the touch plugs into the touch control board and then you should a serial or usb that goes from the usb controller to your computer.
