Which EPIA boards can successfully display 800x480 resolution on Xenarc/Gain/Panasonic LCD panels?

Natively its not possible without a PCI card

I did; it's still unresolved. Currently people are sending email to VIA to get them to address.

And only one person on this forum says their MII board works with 800x480. So nothing is very conclusive..

ad 1) do the same, send VIA tech support your request (use contacts from www.viavpsd.com webpage)

ad 2) MII can NOT do 800x480. Search a little bit better next time.

What about the NEW SP board?? I was also looking for input regarding the other EPIA boards, not just M, or MII.

Nothing shows up on the search.

I too have been looking at what appeared to be a NEW Fanless 1300Mhz EPIA board, the SP13000.

Would be nice to hear from anyone who has one to see if VIA actually added some features that people want...

I dont think the SP1300 is fanless one, the SP8000 is the fanless one.

The 1300 is my planned Mobo for my carPC. My only issue now is that another post brought up is the use of a riser with the freaking heatsinks. I have a 2 DIN case for use with a lilput 7" but it is now going to take alot more fiddling around to get what I want in that 2 din space ( the space my glove box is already filled for other gear) CANCER please keep us updated on what you think of the SP1300. The Mobo is like the #3 on my next car too buy list.(Valve cover Re-Chroming come first to finish up the engine dress up)

Hi,

I'm currently using a SP1300. It's not fanless, but I have disconnected the fan and connected the cpu fan header to the case fan in the Cubid 3677.

I'm using the new BIOS and it works.

Let me get this straight. 800x480 works on the new SP13000 with new BIOS?!?

Why don't they come with the newest bios as they are 'New'.

Is this why there was no fix fir older boards!

Isnt he talking about this hacked bios people are using in their M10k MII etc boards? Ive downloaded it but am waiting to hear more success stories, i belive some have reported it just blackscreens.

The m10k can now output 800x480 using the bios from dragonbtv. there is a thread on it. The problem resides in the lilliput being able to display it. The xenarc can with powerstip and advanced timings

With which combination of BIOS/Drivers?!?

I switched to an Insight P4 as my M9000 was too slow when multitasking GPS, MP3, OBD2, PhoCo etc. but now my only PSU is an OPUS 90 which can't power P4, so I don't know whether to wait for DragonBTV's 150w PSU or to sell up the P4 stuff and buy an SP13000 for a compromise between power and an efficient, cool and quiet system instead of my over powered P4 2.4Ghz which almost needs its own connection to the national grid to boot up
