camecube lcd

got a quickie here. i bought the intec 5.4 gamecube lcd. it requires a 12 volt dc power supply. the manufacturers advise using the oiginal gamecube power cord, but since i dont have a gamecube, i dont have the cord. After going to about 5 stores, i appear to be the only person in the universe who has ever required one.

my question is, since it requires a standard 12v, would i be able to use a spare plug from my carpc's power supply to power it up or would i fry something?

Normaly the inner pin is + as that provides much less chance of accedently grounding it on some thing.
