Question Problems with new Xenarc 700TS

I recently purchased a Xenarc 700TS from the mp3car store and am having problems getting the monitor to work. I have searched through the forums but haven't found anyone with the same issue and I am wondering if I have simply missed a setup step. When I hook up the monitor the green power button will change from a flashing green (no video signal detected) to a solid green (signal detected) but the screen stays blank, I can't even access the OnScreenMenu, which according to the directions is only available when a signal is present. I have tried the monitor with multiple machines and still nothing. I have made sure that the video resolution is running at 800x600 and with a 60hz refresh rate (I have also tried 70hz and 75hz). Is there something that I am missing of did I get a dud?

Absolutely blank, no on screen display, no computer output.... nothing on the screen but blackness :-(

Hoping to be able to return it. I have sent an email to customer service here @ mp3car.com and just waiting for a response. I had ordered the LCD prior to getting all of the other parts for the computer so it is actually about 32 days since I ordered the LCD and their return policy is 30 days.... keeping my fingers crossed!!!! :-)

Remember kids, always check that parts are working when you receive them...

EsKALad: I have sent an email to Ziplock about getting it replaced... waiting for a reply.

joshthepilot: I'll check the LCD in darkness when I get home. If I can't get the screen replaced I'll crack it open and see if there is anything that I can do. There is a contact for warranty work available from Xenarc. I haven't contacted them yet, thought that I would try and stick with mp3car first. One "possible" issue with that route though is that the Xenarc warranty is only valid if the LCD is purchased from an authorized Xenarc dealer and I am not sure if mp3car is. Unfortunately Xenarc doesn't maintain a public list of authorized dealers and I couldn't find anything on the mp3car store site listing that they were an authorized dealer....

Just got an email from Ziplock and I will be returning the monitor for replacement. Thanks for the help EsKaLad and joshthepilot... oh and a big thanks to mp3car and Ziplock!!!

Yeah, I just got mine from mp3car store and it has a dead pixel in the middle of the screen. I thought I read somewhere here that Ziplock tests all the screens to make sure they work properly before sending them out? Mabey i'm wrong, dunno, but anyway he told me to send a RMA form to xenarc for a replacement. That sux, why can't i just send it back to mp3car store and they send me a replacement? And what is RMA anyway? Dunno, guess i'm just a little dissapointed about my screen.

Which model was it? There a few units we are out of stock on. We have a relationship with Xenarc where they take care of our users when we are out of stock on product. In a lot of cases they can ship out RMA's faster. If you are having problems with Xenarc let us know who you spoke with over at Xenarc and we will take care of it ASAP. The 30 day warranty is more of a formality. A lot of times it goes past that and we still take care of the customer. We want to keep everybody happy.
