well i just finished reinstalling all the software and drivers for my touchscreen. I found out something somewhat interesting along the way. Upon installation, my problem remained almost the same. The calibration was still way off, but at least it worked consistantly. I went into the 4 point calibration and it made it more acurate, but still not as good as i would like, so i tried the 25 point calibration, when i was done i got an error " EEPROM access failed!" which leads me to beliave that the 25 point calibration information as actually stored on the touch controller itself! ( i could be wrong, but its a reasonable assumption). i tried again and it worked. now my alingment was almost perfect, so i didnt mess with it anymore. So it seems to be fixed for now, I'll report back if anything changes.
So now the question is what causes this problem? the touchpanel, the controller, or the driver/ config utility? or the combination of them?
Is there another utility that may be better then the touch Kit software?
