im haveing a similar problem with mine. it has been working just fine for a few months and then all of a sudden i started having calibration issues. now sometimes the touch doesnt work at all. Im going to try to reinstall the drivers and hope for the best, but i suspect the touch panel is bad. its getting very frustrating though, and just in time for meet next weekend too!

well i just finished reinstalling all the software and drivers for my touchscreen. I found out something somewhat interesting along the way. Upon installation, my problem remained almost the same. The calibration was still way off, but at least it worked consistantly. I went into the 4 point calibration and it made it more acurate, but still not as good as i would like, so i tried the 25 point calibration, when i was done i got an error " EEPROM access failed!" which leads me to beliave that the 25 point calibration information as actually stored on the touch controller itself! ( i could be wrong, but its a reasonable assumption). i tried again and it worked. now my alingment was almost perfect, so i didnt mess with it anymore. So it seems to be fixed for now, I'll report back if anything changes.

So now the question is what causes this problem? the touchpanel, the controller, or the driver/ config utility? or the combination of them?

Is there another utility that may be better then the touch Kit software?

Problem returned after about an hour of use. I have to continuously realign it. i'm pretty ****ed. i dont know what the problem is, but i think its the touch pannel. does anyone know if i could get one of the 7" pannels from digitalWW and use it wih the existing controller?

Thankfully the touchscreen controller is completely seperate from everything else..it shouldn't be too hard to just replace that one part..
