Volume control in Xenarc 700TSV

Are the volume controls on the 700TSV supposed to control the Windows volume? I can see the Xenarc volume go up and down, but it doesn't affect the Windows XP volume. Is there a trick to get this to work?

Thanks in advance
Roland

The volume contorls are for the internal speaker. If you want, you could figure out a way to hack up the buttons to control the system volume (like shortening out serial pins).

I wonder why they would go through the trouble of providing a remote control with a volume control without giving you the ability to adjust the Windows volume with it.

Could Xenarc's driver be modified somehow to do this?

True, but do you know if the driver even gets that signal? I'm 99% sure that that speaker only works when you're NOT in VGA mode, so the chances that Xenarc decided to send the signal are slim.
