might be a deal, but if you read the whole thread--you'd see that I just bought the truck and am now saving up for a screen. Just checking out the market at the moment, sry

only thing I'd say to it is that it doesn't have a built in touch screen. Once you add the p;rice of the touch screen kit in, and shipping for both of those, it'd be about the same price as other 10" touch displays.

Lilliput does indeed make a 10.4" model. Can't comment on the quality, but the contrast ratio of 150:1 is not spectacular.

datalux is your only real (cheap) option but their touchscreens are crap and the controller while 3M does not work with 3M drivers and with aftermarket support it is still useless.

other than that the screen is perfectly suited for a car. shock, heat, whatever, it can take it.

well maybe you should start to read our classifieds. i just sold my 10'4" datalux with no touch for only $71. i now have a datalux 12" touch and i think they are built really well for car environment. also i never had a problem with the touch drivers.

i bought 2 with touchscreens for 50$ each. at first i used an awesome screen out of one of the cruisers that got an upgrade but that one suffered a dead controller shortly after. guess that's why they took it out. my luck sucks.

neither of dataluxes will properly register the touchscreen. even after calibration a touch results in a drag that is at least 3 inches from my finger. odd. i am considering taking the TS out to regain some brightness but am lazy to take the whole thing out.

and yes i've been thinking of going up to the 12 which is a much better model but my shopping list is too long and the car pc is all the way on the bottom of it.

i use touchware 5.3 and it works fine. i use the 2 point instead of the 5 point calibration. with the 5 point it sometimes goes haywire

and i also had a problem with com1 because my old gps receiver was a serial and they both liked to be on com 1. now with a usb receiver its ok

You could look for a 12 inch ELO touch screen. Still around 550 to 750 depending on where you buy it. May have to modify just a little
