Gain Touchscreen problems solved!
So, I was working on my carcomp the other night, trying to finally get my touchscreen to work properly. It would work right for a short period of time, then loose calibration on one side of the screen without any rhyme or reason. This is was not a problem that would be fixed by a recalibration, not even a 25 point one.
Having already dissasembled the unit, I was at a loss for how to fix it. With no other ideas to try, I swapped the touchscreeen from my USB serial port to the port on the back of my new, old laptop. All my problems instantly vanished. On the real serial port the touchscreen works flawlessly.
If any of you are using USB serial adaptors and are having trouble with your touchscreen, this may be the problem.
