Anything wrong with just leavin the lilliput on power saver?

I got my custom lilliput installed yesterday. Rather than dealing with the auto on issue i was wondering if there's anything wrong with leaving the monitor in power save mode. I have a brand new yellow top so i'm not really worried about power drain. I just wonder if this will put added stress on the monitor.

the lilliput will still draw more than .2 amps when it is on but not receiving a signal, ii would advise switching it off for extended periods of time

Power the Lilli with one relay, connect the coil of relay to the +5 or +12V (second you relay use)with the connector of HD or Floppy, and the power source for the Lilli in the switch contact of the relay.

PC ON, power the relay,Lilli powered by the switch of the relay.
PC Off, Off relay, Off the Lilli automatically.
EDIT:connect one diode type 1N4007 in parallel mode to coil of the relay, Anode to -, Katode to +

Yea i really dont wanna crack open the custom enclosure and rip the unit back out of my dash just to do this. I left it on overnight (14 hours) and it worked fine.. my car doesnt normally get breaks that long.
