Lilliput board swap

I recently shorted my board out and cant get in touch with anyone to purchase a new one. or fix the one I have.

I was wondering if the boards on the regular lilliput vga would work with the board on the lilliput with touch screen. I think it's possible because the touch screen on my lilliput has its own seperate board and wires. I was just wondering if regular lilliputs had the same board so I dont have to drop another 250 for a new lilliput touch screen model.

Check out www.digitalww.com. I think they can provide you with a replacement board, even if it is not listed on the website.

is it the fuse next to the power plug that blew? that's what happened to me. Armen from digitalww sent me a new fuse for $3.

all i did was paypal him $3 with a note saying it was for the fuse.

well armen has been busy the last month and hasnt responded to the 4 emails i've sent him yet.....and I'm getting impatient without my carputer now. I'll try again I guess. I would be willing to bet its the fuse too.

Sort of an obvious question: have you tried jumpering the fuse?

actually I dont even know what the fuse looks like considering I dont see anything on the board that resembles a fuse. but I can give it a shot or if someone would send me a photo of the fuse.
I'm just using wishfull thinking at this point.

i can post a picture later tonight when I get back home, but it's that real little piece right below the power plug. if you get a volt meter you should see 12v going in and (if the fuse blew) nothing coming out. at least that's what happened to me....

I've found a useful pic of the board in another thread.

The fuse is at the bottom right corner, below the DC connector. Do I see "1A" printed next to it? Sounds reasonable.

Cool, congrats!
Needless to say: don't keep things jumpered but reinstall the proper fuse!
