lilliput 8" TS taken apart

did a search and didn't find anyone posted before, so I posted here in case someone need the info.

I bought it couple of weeks ago from MP3car store.

take off 4 screws on the back, you can open the case apart:

mounted on the back side is the controller PCB, with a small touchscreen USB board attached on the other side. 4 black screws holding this board. take off you can see the other side. I've done coyote's auto-on mod with mine, as shown on the picture.

the other side of case, you see a big metal thing, that's the LCD module. two pieces of metal bracket one of each side hold it. take off the 4 screws you can have the LCD in hand, Torisan TM080SV-22L03. it's interesting that several websites I've googled out show this LCD as 800x600 with brightness only 150. mp3car listed it as 280, digitalww says 380, neither mention with or without TS. if the LCD is only 150, how could TS increases the brightness

the dimension of this LCD module is
width: 7-3/8"
height: 5-5/8"
thickness: 7/8" with TS. 3/4" without. there are black foam spacers around between TS and the LCD.

take off 5 screws -- two on right, one right in the middle, and two on left side (you can't see on the picture) -- you can take off the back metal piece of the LCD module so you can see inside.

the PCB on the left is backlight inverter.

take off the 4 screws marked with red line, disconnect cable to inverter board and ribbon cable to the right board, then pry off the front metal frame along the edges, you can separate the LCD panel from the backlight.

I didn't take the backlight totally apart.

and I've found if I want to make my own light source, I would need a longer ribbon cable between the two boards attached to the LCD. no idea how I could find one. or I could solder some wires, but that means I need to get great soldering skill
