Installing my carputer

Hi,

I've been given an old computer which I've just ordered a new motherboard, 833MHz processor and 40GB HDD for.
Now - the Liliput 7" touchscreen. What'd be the best way to go about connecting the Lili to my computer (in the boot)? I think the RCA out would probably be the best, judging by the length of the cable run?
Also, does the USB connection connect the Liliput to the computer and therefore function as a mouse? How does one right-click?
Audio - do you go straight from your PC outs to a crossover?

Get a VGA extension. An RCA will look AWFUL. Many people have extended their VGA cables (myself included) with good results.

The touchscreens come with software that allows you to click the right button.

VGA will support much higher resolutins than Component (RCA) ever could. How far is your run? I have a 10" VGA cable extension I'm using with my laptop now (in my bedroom), which plays my movies. Works great, Really 10" is the longest I can see in a car isntall, besdies a minivan where the PC is in the very back.

ten inches or ten feet? I need to have the comp in the boot, which'd need about 8ft of VGA

I've just recently tested a 5 meter long VGA cable without any problems. It's meant for my car. Also, tested a 5meter long USB cable direct plug. All good to go...
