hardwire xenarc question

i recently hardwired the xenarc tsv 700, the 12v comes off the DSSC shutdown controller and i ground it up front in the dash

screen gets a line that rolls down from top to bottom

ground sucks?

i'm thinking i'm gonna send the 14g ground wire to a distro block then 8g it to the chassis someplace else

any tips?

try running a common ground. Run a cable from your comp (and any other equip that is feeding the xenarc with vid), to the xenarc, then to the ground. Also, make sure your grounds aren't ran too far. For this i would use a 10 or 8 awg since you are also gonna use it to ground your carpc and you will prolly get some line drop. If the carpc and the xenarc are too far apart. Just run one cable from the pc to a gound point (not too far from the xenarc or comp). and run a cable from the xenarc to the same ground point. I had the same problem and this fixed it for me. Also make sure you keep your signal and power wires as far away as possible

i have a 4runner, so suv stuff

carpc is in passenger rear wheel well
amps are up front, xenarc up front

i have 4g to driver seat to distro block, 3 8awg out (2 to amps up front, 1 to trunk)... this goes to a distro block to the inverter, dssc, relays, etc. Grounds for pc case, inverter, dssc feed to a distro block then to chassis

dssc goes to front w/2 14g wires, one splits to remote turn on for amps and 1 goes to usb hub. ground from this usb hub is problem one

other 14g wire goes to xenarc and problem in question

i was gonna do a molex extension to the front but no where to put the dvd rom, so i'll just leave it in the back

i dont know if running a 15ft wire from the xenarc and usb hub to the rear ground is ok. the amps ground to 2 separate points up front (they are like 8 inches long of 8g wire).

the reason i did this with the ground on the amps was because i have a center console and i tried running wire under it and it pinches the wires and no juice. otherwise i'd do a distro block there and send the shizzle to that...

signal wires go up passenger side, power up my side

thanks
