Double-din is closest to 16:9. Should I go with 8" 16:9? Which?

I'm planning to fit a touchscreen LCD in my car's Double-Din space.

Dimensions: 7.5"W x 4 3/8"H

My plan is to remove the LCD's bezel/housing etc, and fit the bare LCD. Even an 8" however would be smaller than the opening, so I might have to bondo/fiberglass or who knows what to cover up and look more factory.

In any case, these dimensions seem very close to 16:9 screen ratio, and also closer to a 8" diagonal at that.

I was going to go with a 8" Xenarc TS, but the dimensions of those seems to be 4:3 ratio. Huh?! ANy widescreen 8" Xenarcs? Or other good TS options?

Thanks!

7" x 4" is double-din standard...

You sure it's double-din?

Well, not 100% sure. I did take those measurements myself though, and they are precise.

My vehicle is a 2002 Honda CR-V, and has a dd 6-disc CD changer factory. They put a Navi there in European / Japanese models.
