ok here are the first test images
this is the stock LCD with a touchscreen on top
this is with the upgraded ccfl's and the stock diffusers and a touchscreen on top. it's not washed out anything like the pic makes it seem. my camera is a POS
and I still havent done any adjustments, I just threw the tubes in and powered it on

I think hes just filtered the Floridian sun to behind the backlight via a set of prisms from the window ;-)

that was jsut the tubes!!!! nothing else! the brighness increase is approximately double WITH THE touchscreen. The TS is a % loss so on a 400 nit screen you lose 100nit and an 800nit screen you lsoe 200nit. so we must be about 1000nit.

Oh and another big hint....I will be getting my shipment of sample tubes to the UK soon. I currently have a Xenarc panel but wouldnt mind getting my hands on a linITX if anyone has a bust one they want to get rid of.

What's the size on this panel? It looks a lot larger than 7", but I could be wrong...

as soon as I can get some clear silicone, i'm going to mount the ccfls permanent, and i'll put it back in it's casing for a heat test.
