Looking excellent guys! Been following this for a while, and after seeing the pics last night I'm very impressed!
In fact on the way to work this morning as my missus cupped her hands over the screen to see in the bright daylight even she agreed this is one upgrade we have to have!

My hat's off to you gentlemen.
Nice work. I would definitely be interested in this for the 8" screen.

We have decided not to bother doing an 8" version. Sorry.
hehe, give us a chance to get the 7" done. We will try the 7" tubes in the 8" housing to see how it goes. It could be ok.

Hey the image you posted
It looks to me like the screen is upside down?? so the viewing angle is bad, which is a problem on LCDs as we all know, and it would look even better if the screen was the other way around when photographed??
Can we see a pic with both screens powered up, same orientation same image, and say a shot looking straight down at the screens?? That would be a great comparo, looks great even in that shot you took though

If I had an 8" display to donate right now, then I would. However, I would imagine that the 7" kit would work nicely on an 8" display, since it's not a huge jump in size...
