MTS12000 Installation help and specs (motorized touch Screen)
Since a lot of people are getting these from different sources I thought I would start th is thread.
The MTS1200 description can be found here:
http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_...roducts_id=103
Here is power draw according to my amp meter:
Screen open, on, it actaully fluctuates but hovers below
1amp or 12 watts
Closed and in standby mode - clock on with LED lights
.04 amps or .48 watts
If I tried to over extend the screen past the stop point it would jump to around 1.4 amps for around 250ms. Other than that I couldn't get the power draw to go over 1amp.

How much is the power draw with you dancing in front of it?
Seriously, though. Good information to have. Thanks.

So the screen is actively held there? ie the servo holds it in place (that is good in my books btw).
What is the current when the screen is extending? i imagine it is low but worth checking.
OMG $449.99!!!!

I think when I get on the treadmill it tells me I am buring around 200 watts - so the dancing = a net of +188 watts to spare.
I am such a geek.

Here is the current status:
5/4/05 7:53 am
Clearance processing complete.
San Francisco, CA
Then it gets on a plane to the East coast USA. We should have it by friday. no promises though. it could have taken a dunk in the ocean on the way over. We must test before they ship.
some people have insisted on preordering. as of now there are not a lot left from this shipment.
