I GOT THE 629 I GET IT FROM MP3CAR I DID STEP BY STEP WHAT THE INSTRUCTION SAYS AND EVERYTHING WORK GOOD BUT WHEN I DISCONECT THE MONITOR FROM THE CIGARETE LIGHTER AND PLUG IT IN AGAIN THE MONITOR DON'T POWER UP JUST STAND BY, CAN IT BE BECAUSE I DON'T GOT THE USB CABLE CONECTED TO THE PC.
NOTE: I still don't install the pc on my car, I was testing with my laptop, and conecting the lilli to the cigarete lighter as power source.

I am in the same boat as you. I try every tricks stated in the forum and some stupid thing from my own. None of the tricks work.
You can try jaming one of the button to enable auto on, but this method leaving the buttons unoperative. However, you can control with the remote.
If you don't know what I mean, try this. Press and hold any of the button (power prefer) and plugin power to the monitor, it should turn on => auto on. This is not a trick of my own but been floating around for a while. I found that it is okay to do it this way instead of RC mod (aka Coyotte auto on).
In the end, I just prefer not having auto on because there is time I don't want the monitor on by itself such as moving the car in and out of the lot for a wash or short trip to the liquor. If I can get it thru the code, it's perfect. Otherwise, I just jam a piece of paper on the power button and I have auto on .

did you try the trick i did with the remote battery?

For some reason it only works if I do what I did in that thread. Otherwise I can never get the admin menu and that was after at least 200 tries.

I have the lilliput 619
i have tried this code for quite a while and finally got a result.
For me, i needed to removed the power source from the screen for 15 seconds, plug it back in, turn it on with the button, wait for the blue lights to go out, and then enter the code. this worked great
before that i tried it a ton of other ways and nothing would come up on the screen. Hope this helps someone
also, i wanted the screen to automatically come on when power was applied, i ended up having to us 2 as the power option so it would use the last setting which was on. With 1 selected it would start in standby mode.
Im happy it worked out!!
thanks guys

someone should update the first post of this thread with the additional info that's been gathered in these 7 pages. I went through this last night with my new transflective from mp3car.com and the only way I got it to work was with: remove battery from remote trick, otherwise factory menu would never come up, and using 2 instead of 1 for the code for the power setting.

I am trying this on my 629 and when I enter 588998 I get a menu that pops up that looks like this:
But there is no where I can enter the next set of digits any where. If I start typing the "1270110" that menu just disappears. Has anyone else seen this menu and I would really like to get my Lilliput to Auto Power on. I guess its a good start that I am getting this menu, but I don't know what do after this menu pops up.

I actually figured it out. You have to press the menu button on the actually screen buttons and then go down to power mode and using the other buttons on the screen toggle to the number 2 for power mode. It works great. You can also turn on other video sources such as TV and turn off certain things as well. I hope this helps anyone that was stuck the same way I was.

Finally got it!
Well, I'm another one. Worked on it for over an hours with no luck. Then tried the remove the battery from the remote trick. On the third try, I was in luck. Here's the link. Specifically, I followed Post #6:
-remove power
-remove battery from remote
-insert battery
-connect power
-press power button
-enter code (normal speed, i tried 2 times slow, didn't work. Third time normal speed, worked like a charm)

Oh YEAH!!!!! Thanks diosagain - I've been trying to get this for about 2 months now!
Hit the 588998 combo from the remote, then the menu button on the screen itself, and then you can use the < > buttons to scroll up and down, and Vol + - buttons to change values - all kinds of things I hadn;t seen before.
