MTS12000 / DWW-700M TS drivers

I'm having some trouble installing the TS drivers for the DWW-700M. It told me that 'A service installation section in this INF is invalid' Does this mean that the driver I have is bad? If so, where do I get a new one? Can someone help me out?

We'll be trying to install the drivers for the XP system this weekend. Will let you know if we get it working. If you want to locate new drivers...go here:

Not as relevant for you...but if you want to check out the Mac OS X driver install steps:

You could try other drivers, this did the trick for me. I used the same drivers RainyDayGarage recommended, the newest btw... However, these drivers lack the right button emulation from what i've seen.

Well, I thought I had the problem fixed, but it happened again. Let me start at the beginning...
I installed the screen and everything worked great. It stayed that way until two days ago. My carputer sometimes doesn't go into hibernate mode correctly and I end up with a blue screen when I go to reboot. I got it booted up, but the touchscreen no longer worked. As it turned out, none of the USB devices I plugged in worked. Windows didn't show any errors in the device manager. I ended up having to remove all of the USB devices in the device manager and reboot. Windows recognized all of the ports and I reinstalled them. This fixed my USB problem, but the touchscreen still didn't work. I tried to install the touchscreen again with the driver that I had, and for whatever reason it worked. It worked again, but then my computer gave me the bluescreen after a hibernation. and now my USB stuff isn't working. Can anyone think of a reason why it would do this?
By the way I've got a epia 1000m, and am running WinXP, and the only devices I have plugged into the mobo are a keyboard [ps2], a microsoft GPS unit [usb], and a USB hub that has the TS plugged into it up front.

Update: I emailed DigitalWW about it and they told me that another person experienced a problem with their TS not working, and that I should reinstall XP. I'll try that tomorrow and let you all know. In the mean time, any other suggestions/comments would be appreciated.

Well, I finally found my XP cd...it was lost somewhere in my appartment. I did a install, and my USB devices seem to be working, so I guess all is well. Thanks for the drivers though.

I'm back again...with another problem. Like I said in my last post, I got my USB problem worked out. Everything was going great, until I took my carputer inside to update some files [still working on the wireless networking thing]. I updated some mp3s and installed some of the gamma control programs because the screen is really bright at night.

So, I put it back in the car, and now the ts won't work. XP recognizes it as new hardware, and it will install the drivers, but it still won't work. I've tried the drivers on the cd that came with the screen, and also the ones recommended in this thread, but none of them seem to work. I don't have any hardware conflicts, as XP tells me the touchsreeen is working properly. Any advice on what to do now?

You mean it's not working at all?
Or, if you touch the screen the cursor moves, but randomly on the screen?

ya, it's not working at all. I can't get the curser to move, so it's not a calibration issue or anything. It just plain won't work...

plug the TS in the same USB header you were using when it worked last time.. it should work
if not, remove the istance from the registry
hklm\system\currentcontrolset\enum\usb
find out the TS istances and delete them, the plug your TS again and install the drivers

If in Windows it's staed that the device is working properly, do a calibration test. Hold down the x until you hear the beep, complete the test, it should work then, assuming the hardware connections are all correct. Or, you could try doing a back up of the Windows to the point you had it working.

I had the same problem with rdc_3200. I spent all my afternoon to try solve this problem. My screen was like a rock. I did everything and the monitor did't respond to my touches. All of a sudden I uninstalled the touchscreen program from Start - Programs - Wo... (I don't remember exactly the name) I restarted my pc and I did a setup from the directory that the drivers for win2000xp are locating. Again a restart and ... miracle, it worked. Of course I don't know for how much.
I have another problem. I can't change the brightness, volume and anything else from the menu. It seems to work numbers are counting up and down but no result. Do you know anything before I say that it is dead?

Wierd...but you could always change the brightness through pc software, and you really don't need that peaker now do you...? If it's still working, it's not dead yet.

well, I tried to do a system restore, but for some reason I don't have any restore points beyond yesterday, so that option is out. I'm not too confident in editing my registry, so I'd need a little bit more info before I try that. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers again, but nothing happened. On a side note, the monitor came with a calibration tool (something about a drawing test), but when I did that, the monitor was able to draw the lines I traced, but still no curser movement.

Leatherboy: so you can't change any of the settings from the on screen menu? does it even show up? The volume control, from what I understand, controls the tv volume and wouldn't effect anything but that. Also, I've noticed that during the day, I don't see much difference when adjusting the brightness/contrast/(and whatever the 'phase' control is). I've had a lot of luck dimming the lcd by using some of the gamma control software available. Hope that helps.

One last thing, does it sound to you guys that this is a problem with the way I'm installing the touchscreen or the way I've got windows set up, or could there be something faulty with the unit?
