One of the options in that menu was for the auto on. Good luck!

I solved this a while back. When you get to the menu where it lets you switch languages, PUSH THE MENU BUTTON ON THE MONITOR ITSELF. It will give you a new menu with all sorts of options.

tmproff you rule, this was bothering me... the remote wouldnt respond once in the menu..
Anyone with a screen that goes to language selection or another menu when entering 588998 you need to nav with the buttons on the screen..
thanks again tmproff, you saved my life..

Has anyone done this yet. I am thinking of getting a rear-view camera and would like the lilliput 629 to auto-switch

wait I'm confused. I have the power hooked up to my accessory line in the car so if i shut the car off it cuts the power. You guys say that cutting the power resets the monitor. So is there a way for me to have it so that when the car is turned on (power is turned on to the monitor) that the monitor automatically turns on and displays my computer?

it does? hmm mine doesnt reset the monitor settings at all. I thought there was a setting in the monitor to retain the setting or something. I didnt have a problem at all with either of my lilliputs I had so not sure. My car ccuts out the power as well and when i start the car back up, the settings that I had remain in there still.

I am so ****ed off. I have spent the last 3 hours trying every which way to make this work on my 629GL-70NP/C/T.
No matter what method I used, and i've used every one on this and rtthe related thread, I get absolutely no sign of Factory Mode/Settings,nothing.
Anyone tried anything recently that might help????
Colin

Second that. I bought a 629 about 9 months back and it works fine. But I just received a new one, and I cannot get into the factory settings and cannot set the auto power on feature. Very annoying that they would change this.
Please help !

Figured it out. As I saw elsewhere in other posts, I had to remove the battery from the remote and the power completely from the LCD. Then power both back up, and here is the mistake I was making, you have to turn the power on using the screen button (not from the remote!) before you type in the "588998". Works like a charm now. Also, I had to press the buttons fairly normal speed. I saw in other posts that you had to enter them slowly, but this didnt work for me.
Hope that tidbit helps, I saw in no other posts about having to turn the power on from the screen button...

Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the "No input signal detected" message on EBY-701?

1. Entered 588998. OSD came up with --- - - -
2. Entered 097 0 2 0 (English, Chinese and Japanese as languages, English as default, Auto Power-On, sound in VGA, without tv input)
3. Once all numbers were entered, I pressed 5 (any button works) to close the OSD (on screen display)
4. Tested it by cutting the power, reconnecting it and voila! Turns on automatically when the power is connected...
Sweet!
I have a EBY701 but this tweak is not working for me.
