Works for me!
I have an 8" Lilliput 809GL-80NP/C/T
Tapped in 588998 in VGA mode
Factory settings --------- was then displayed
Using the numerals I typed in
0010101
Then pressed any key (3)
**** down the PC, Pressed the on button and the Lilliput booted up. Im so happy!
This completely puts my faith in my CarPC as I have had a broken ribbon cable for ages and couldnt fix it.
This code means I no longer need the ribbon cable!
Thanks guys, alot more helpful then the UK forum!

How do i tell the model of my monitor? Cause I chopped it up about 6 months ago and fabricated it into my dash, have had to run an extension for the IR port.
For some reason, none of the codes posted thus far bring up the menu on it.

I read on a another post somewhere that lilliputs do auto switching without needing that wire. It detects a signal through the A/V plug itself and switches accordinly.... can anyone confirm this?

Yeah sounds weird, I'm hoping to finally test everything next week, just still getting the bits and pieces I need, so I want to know if I need to do any hacks then I do them now before it gets put into the car.
I guess there would be some sort of sensing as it know when there's no signal on the RCA lead, so using this to trigger the pc/av button would be needed, I just don;t know where to start with building something like that, Ideally when you want to go in reverese, u do't want to look for a remove to see ur reverse camera.
Finally the other mystery was image flipping, can this be done on the 629GL/70NP? As I've done the soft hack for auto power on and VGA with sound.
Cheers
Kosti

The codes in the beginning doesn't match this new model and the procedure has to be the one mox described earlier in this thread.
mox procedure:
1) Completely disconnect the 12V power cord from your lilliput
2) Reconnect power and turn the lilli on by pressing the power button (on the screen)
3) Now, while in VGA-mode, enter the numbers (588998) directly, i.e. without first pressing any other keys or activating any menus or whatever.
now to set auto power on with 629GL-70NP:
My default values were 129 0 1 1 0
Changed the 5th number (thanks wasyed) to get 129 0 2 1 0 and then pressed a random number on RC to store the new setting.
Works like a charm!
I should have read this post (or this whole thread) before trying to get my 629 working. I to got it to work with 5th number a 2 instead of a one... it just took me about an hour of trial and error to get it to work.

629gl-70np/c/t (led)
Just throwin' this out there,
for the 629GL-70NP/C/T (LED) My version is VO.1 08-03-11
I have four menus (each with different options)
For auto on feature when hooked up to my power supply I had to switch my
"Power state" from "2" to "1". Unit powers on/off with PC PSU.
Tested and it works!
Question or comments please feel free to email me!

Without reading past the first few pages of this post...
With my 7" Lilliput after entering the 588998 I was given a new menu screen, but no option to input another string of digits. No "--------" or anything.
Up/Down: Changed the menu item
Left/Right: Changed the selection's option (Toggle On/Off etc.)
Menu: accepted the current and moved to the next hidden menu
On the third hidden menu selecting "Power: 2" from the default of 0 enabled auto power on of the monitor. Also configurable were the languages, colors, and various logo settings I have not messed with yet.
