Hardware Compatibility List - 800x480 Video Cards

Guys,

I think one of the recurring questions that come up here is getting the right video cards for the Xenarc and Liliput. Why not we compile a list of cards that is capable of dispalying 800x480 and put it up in the FAQ section for example. I believe this would be a major help to everyone who is putting together a carpc.

A Hardware Compatibility List is a major resource that could be extremely beneficial to users. I first came across such a list over at theh HPCFactor website, which is dedicated to the Handheld PC pdas of old. Having such a list means that newbies could determine what hardware to get, and hopefully reduce the number of posts with repeated questions in the forum.

Although it is impossible to generate an HCL for every type of hardware as CarPCs come in a variety of forms and configurations, it is still possible to generate an HCL for something like this, which is a common component of a CarPC. So, I hope the moderators would consider this, and that the users could contribute.

Did you try using powerstrip with it? Or editing the registry? It will do 800 x 480.

Would this also apply to the Radeon 9250 as well and still be compatable with the mp3car transflective?

It would be better if you listed which cards will do 800x480 without some registry hack bs. Will nvidia cards do it without a 3rd party application? I would personally prefer less crap on the computer that servers little to no purpose.
