i was wondering if you have any updates on the screen?
i'm really thinking of getting it too (if they're no customs duties as i'm from vancouver), any other pros/cons? were you able to get the 800x480 resolution?

thanks

640x480 is perfectly fine. the manual says it can do 720x400, i think 800x480 was possible, but it didn't scale onto the screen right

How is the picture quality when looked at at an angle, lets say for example its mounted in between the driver and passenger does it lose any quality or color from those positions?

Also, can you take a picture or 2 of the back connections and cables?

I'm only asking because I have a $99 legacy 7.2" and its the biggest piece of crap on the planet, the colors are washed out when viewed at an angle greater than oh lets say 3 degrees you get a chrome and brown color. Its sucky.

if you looked in my for sale thread, i damaged the screen and took pics of the interior (no fault of the screen, all my own damage)

it is discovered with some certainty that these screens use the same as the newer xenarc ones (panasonic) screens

Got mine in today, I am in love!

Starting my install tommorow, but so far so good. LCD is nice and bright, no problems out of the box minus no AC adapter (only cig lighter, which i cut and spliced to molex). Angles are fine, I havent messed with the resolutions much, but 800x600 looks pretty nice. Auto-on is great.

I will get some pics tommorow when doing my install.

Not bad, has a Xenarc panel in it. Auto-on. I cant see why anyone would pay more for the lilli besides for service.

looks great cavity and ani

i have questions though. Are both of those the avatar screens? if so can you tell me the model number on them? Also- for the touchscreen drivers? can i use the same ones as lilliput and xenarc? I forget the website at the moment that has them .... in my book marks somewhere I hope for when the time comes ....

thanx
Mike

after disecting them, it had been discovered that they are actually the Xenarc screens. i can't get a number since my screen is in the car. and the case they come in are branded "SUPER", but the quality is excellent.
http://www.egalax.com.tw/support-drivers.htm for touchscreen drivers. install drivers first, then plug in touchscreen.
