They will support 1024x768, but the native resolution is 800x480, which I am STILL (after 2 days of playing with powerstrip) no closer to running in. I've given up trying to get the screen running in it's native resolution with the onboard S3 Chrome graphics, so now I'm trying with an Nvidia FX5500 PCI card.
At the moment, I will say to avoid these screens if you MUST run your display in anything other than 640x480, as that's all it seems happy with at the moment, everything else just looks awful.
If you are happy with 640x480 resolution, then these screens are an absolute bargain, particularly as they have AV inputs for things like X-Box/PS2.

Even with the NVidia PCI card the display doesn't want to know about native resolution of 800x480 - it thinks it is 800x600 so leaves two black areas top and bottom of the screen and scales it to fit the rest. Time to look at getting another screen methinks.

Has anyone had problems playing a xvid or divx file - I tried playing an xvid file and the screen went black and displayed "Signal out of range". This would suck if I couldn't watch any xvid movies! Anyone know a fix. Currently running at 640x480. Any resolution higher looks bad IMO. I am using the nvidia GeForce 440 go in my Inspiron 8200 laptop.

HELP!
Don't know if anybody has answered this, but try removing the device or changing the drivers under "system" in control panel - then reinstall the monitor/drivers. Also the only refresh rate for an LCD is 60Hz - they don't work like a CRT.
Oh and is this the eBay link to the SUPER monitor on the 1st page I believe

Can brightness be adjusted on this display?

Hi. Sorry for my English.
What you think about that LCD?
http://cgi.ebay.com/Lilliput-7-Touch...QQcmdZViewItem
I'm just beginning with car pc and I'm locking for 7" LCD for my VW Golf 3 GTI. I want to mount it in the middle console.
Could somebody give me some example of good (and not expensive) LCD screens on ebay?

azizi... you can expect to pay $200 to 650 for a screen... for the most part, the more you pay, the better the screen... it is the small things that make screens better... everything from menus to lighting, etc... the Xenarc has tech support, I have had problems in the past and picked up the phone and they walked me though the fix... the ebay screens are from Hong Kong, you can expect them to burn a fuse quickly... my ebay screen was 1/2 the price of the Xenarc and it worked for a total of 10 hours... my xenarc has 30,000 miles on it... so figure close to 1000 hours of usage... the only problem I ever had with it was that I had bumped an internal cable loose...
I tell new people to expect to spend $800 USD to build a system, if you do it for less than that you will probably be cutting corners that you will suffer from in the future.

on your second, you are offering sales in a non sales forum??
or is it that you are a dealer and are try to sell your products??
either way, you're well on your way to getting kicked... in other words, don't hijack the thread to sell your crap...
