removing ts overlay - big difference?

i got a tview 7" TS today, it looks decent, beside the fact it only looks ok at 800x600 and its slightly streched.

anyways, it looks not so bright, it looks ok in my house but im sure it will suck in daylight. i'm thinking the touch screen isint so great anyways, and i might just get a touchpad. how much difference in brightness and daylight readability will removing the touchscreen overlay make?

the actual brightness difference isn't HUGE, but it is noticable. The huge improvment, in my opinion, is the glare produced by the touchscreen. Without it, MUCH less glare.

If it's not a huge pain in the buttocks to test the removed version, do it.

It's brighter. 100 nits or so. And WAY less glare.
