My Latest Buy - Lilliput!!

Lilliput 7" Touch Screen.

won on eBay. £132, not bad as they go for about 160 on there.
if all goes to plan this will be part of my install eventually, basically running a small computer with MP3's, music vids, films, gps maybe, whatever really.. be a interesting project whether it succeeds or fails game on...

That was never in doubt SteveS. Welcome to the forum and don't worry about strange moments of sarcasm from certain members. I myself and always glad to see new ppl coming into the world of carputers...

What about the rest of the PC? I did exactly the same by buying the screen first, but it may take you a lot longer than you think to do all the rest.

Just MAKE SURE your touchscreen works ASAP!! Mine was broken and I didnt find out for months. Fortunatly I managed to get mine exchanged but I dont know who you got that from. Do a search on here for all the people that have had TS problems with the lilliput and youll see what the score is.

if you can send it back

Dont be a cheap skate and purchase one of the new ones (black square housing)

I have not heard one problem with these. As opposed to every other thread in the LCD forum about foulty touchscreen blah blah blah.

Don't get me wrong i have 3 of the old ones but i can promise you that if I had to buy another i would get a new one.

And this thread belongs in the newbie forum
