Question Brightness / Contrast Issue - Software?

Hey guys... I have a SHARP 12" LCD touch panel installed in my dash (BMW E36) with extensive modifications done to remould the dash.

Now I understand that a screen of that size moulded into the dash is not going to set at an ideal viewing angle for all concerned drivers/passengers... but the angle is not quite right from the front two seats in that it should have been mounted with more of a tilt back.

It's very useable and viewable, but slightly "white" (too bright?) towards the bottom of the screen. Lower your head a little and it looks right.

My question is, since the angle can no longer be changed, and without a brightness/contrast control on the monitor itself, does anyone know of any software out there to alter brightness/contrast/gamma etc at the Windows XP end?

Any advice appreciated.

check your video drivers advanced settings. Or maybe the people who do powerstrip will have something.

I'd just like to add and thank scouse, as Powerstrip did exactly what I needed and a lot more. Also allows you to store color profiles (ie. Day - Night).

ahhh cool. glad it worked for you. it looked like nice program when i used it but unfortunately every graphics card i have needed to use it on was too old to be supported or to be able to be supported.

Other alternatives you could try are flims to increase the viewing anle but they will add blur and lower the brightness which is not going to be much use in Aus!
