Post New Guy with LCD questions

Hey guys, got some q's for you!

Is a wide screen better a regular screen for a windows based cpu?

Where can I find a really good touch screen lcd, 6-10" with a decent pixel rate, for cheap? Unfortunately I go to college, so no real money yet.

Thanks in adavance for any help...

Also I'm a Canuck, so that kinda kills what I could get.
