Post Directhardware Acees to IO in NT/2K Fix

Hey all, i found this tonight, for getting a character display to work under NT 2K, (maby XP)
http://www.driverlinx.com/Software_P...=1003843169685

click on port/io to d/l it if you want to test it out

D/L Description: Simple user mode DLL and NT kernel driver to allow direct hardware I/O access.

Now the bad part is i havent been able to get it to work with any of the winamp plugins but maby someone will have some idea on configuring it.

however, theres this program LCDcenter http://www.borderfield.com/lcd.php

with the above port thing alows lcds to work under nt 2k, you can get it to display cpu/time/date/all tempretures/voltages/fans speeds/hhd free+total space/can check emails and display if u have any new/and also winamp but that didnt seem to work for me.

one problem i have eno****ed so far is that is only uses the first 2 lines of my 4x40 but u can program it to display lots of screens, e.g. screen 1 will come on for x mount of time displaying something on both lines then wipe clear and display the next screen and so on and repeat.

(sorry i never make sense when i ramble on ull just have to get it and play around with it)

oh yeah for the temps/voltages/fans etc. u need a program MBM (motherboard monitor) running and setup. i think maby why it didnt use bottem 2 lines is the program but been designed fro a different wiring up which ill check later.
