Yes, some people have had problems with their screens overheating. Some point that touchscreen failure is due to heat. Take out the internal speaker and replace it with a fan. for how to do this.

now the question is should it blow into the LCD case or blow out of? which would do the better job?

In my opinion, a one fan setup should have the fan acting as an exhaust. This will creat a vacuum inside the case, drawing air in through cracks in the case.

A single intake fan will create a pressurized environment inside the case, and more pressure = more heat.

High temps will fade the color on your screen and could premature the life of the lcd and backlight.

my lilliput seems to overheat sometimes and shut itself off. Sometimes it flickers and everything seems to invert (colorwise) then it shuts off). I usually wait a minute and then turn it off and back on. Sometimes I have to unplug it. I plan on using a fan eventually too. Anybody using 80 mm fans on here?
